Music is a great way to add fun and have everyone contribute in their own way. Most families these days have a special event called “sangeet”, a musical night filled with dancing and music.

There are millions of great songs out there but the right set of songs can make Indian weddings truly magical.

In this blog post, we have the top 10 evergreen Bollywood hits that you will make everyone happy.

So let’s get started:

Bollywood Wedding Party Songs

Dil Deewana Bin Sajna Ke Maane Naa

A classic romantic Hindi song that will make your heart melt. It’s also a perfect song for solo performance by a family member or friend. This song is sung by the melodious Lata Mangeshkar.

Mahi Ve

A perfect peppy song that will get all young and old family members dancing to the tunes. Highly recommended for a sangeet, Mehendi, and cocktail receptions. This song is so positive and soothing. And for all the Shah Rukh Khan fans out there, this song gets them beaming with huge smiles.

Mehndi Laga Ke Rakhna

This your classic Mehndi night song. The groom reminds the bride-to-be to apply henna and get ready for the wedding day. It will bring back good old memories from the famous Dilwale Dulhania Le Jayenge movie, a Bollywood super hit. A truly timeless song.

Bole Chudiya

This is another colorful and upbeat song. This song makes an emotional connection with beautiful words such as, “Without you, I could not live, I would die” and “My anklets are calling you, they will soothe your sulk.” A universally favorite song for dancing at the sangeet, Mehndi, or even the wedding day.

Didi Tera Devar Diwana

A fun, mischievous song from the blockbuster Bollywood movie “Hum Aapke Hain Koun.” a musical romantic-comedy film produced by Rajshri Productions. This song is a fun melody between the groom’s brother and the bride’s sister. If there is one song you pick for your wedding celebration, pick this one.

Manwa Lage

A slow romantic track, I find this song to be perfect for the bride herself to perform on the Sangeet night. This is a very gracious song and will win the hearts of the groom and all wedding guests. Bridesmaids and other family members can also dance to this song.

Saat Samunder Paar Mein Tere

This is a song that means the bride will go wherever the groom takes her, she can even cross seven oceans if needed. Thus I feel it’s a perfect song if the bride is going to move somewhere far with the groom after they get married. It’s a great way to celebrate their love for each other.

Ghoomar

This newest track is from the movie Padmavati. The song will remain evergreen, especially for Indian weddings.

“Ghoomar” is a traditional Indian folk dance that involves men and women swirling in robes and singing together. It includes the dancing of the bride, mother-in-law, sister-in-law, and other members of the family.
A true celebration of the art of dancing and grandeur, this track motivates everyone to express beautiful dance moves.

Raja Ki Aaii Hai Baraat

This song is ideal for the “baarat,” where the groom travels to the wedding venue or the bride’s house, accompanied by his family members. Family and friends from the groom side dance at the door and the bride’s family is waiting to welcome them with love. This song will not disappoint you.

Mangalyam

This is a song that is ideal for wedding ceremonies and rituals such as the tying of the mangalsutra, putting sindoor on the bride’s head, and the seven circles “saath phere,” for seven wows.
