The money dance can also be referred to as the money dance at a wedding reception. The concept behind the money dance is that the men pay for the opportunity to dance with the bride and the women pay for the opportunity to dance with the groom. The money is typically saved for the bridal couple’s honeymoon.
There are many ways the money dance songs can be played. Men can bring dollar bills to the bride in which they can pin the dollar bills onto the bride’s wedding dress, the bride can tuck the money into her money dance apron,or tuck the money into her purse. Women can pin the dollar bills onto the groom’s lapel or he can tuck the money into his pockets. Another suggestion would be to have the maid/matron of honor and best man coordinate the dance and accumulate all money from the men and women for the bride and groom to give to the bridal couple once the dance has concluded.
