Heart is an American rock band made up of primarily two women as lead vocalists – Ann Wilson and Nancy Wilson. Ann Wilson joined the band changing names such as White Heart, Hocus Pocus, and then Heart formed in 1973.

In 1974 Nancy Wilson, Ann’s sister, also joined the band. The original members of the band include Ann & Nancy Wilson, Howard Leese, Michael DeRosier, Steve Fossen, and Roger Fisher. The band still performs today.

Heart has amassed a large fan base. The biggest reason is that they have not stuck to one music style. Heart could be categorized as a hard rock band, Heavy Metal band, Easy Listening, Adult Contemporary, Pop Rock band, and even folk. Their music style was part of their mysticism as they did not stay with one style.
