Lindsey was lovely in a slim strapless ivory gown layered with sparkling beads. Dave’s father was honored in a display with a set of beautiful photos of him and a request for guests to sign a special guest book. He was an old car lover, so they requested that the ford be parked out front, and they brought a collectible motorcycle with side car and the classic car that the bride rode in to the ceremony at the historic Stockbridge Commons meeting house. Pittsfield, Vermont’s local pastor Howard Gunter was the officiant, and the aisles of the meeting house were overflowing with standing room only. The big surprise was the bag piper that lead the recessional of the wedding party and their guests. They had a 40 by 60 cocktail tent placed in front of our Amee Farm Lodge that housed the bar and appetizers, and was then utilized with multiple food stations catered by Noel’s Catering, for the guests to serve themselves. Dancing followed with a fabulous DJ out of Boston. It was a glorious Fall evening and the tent sides, the French doors and the roll up door were all open to the night sky, creating a lovely flow throughout the evening. Antique benches and cocktail tables enticed the guests onto the front lawn overlooking the pond, and the youngsters played corn hole and tag and the evening wore on.
