Not too many times do we get excited about gifts for Grooms and Groomsmen as many fall into the traditional ideas of flasks, knives, mugs and money clips. However, uniques gifts do exist to break the norm. We are big believers of watches as gifts for grooms and groomsmen. We have always promoted unique pocket watches. However, Jord has taken the stance of being different to a new stage. Jord offers a line of watches with wood wrist bands. Yes, that’s right – real wood!
Manly Gift Idea for Groom
Based in Missouri, my wood watch arrived a couple days after placing an order. Jord offers a unique approach to watches by getting away from metals and rubber by using REAL WOOD wrist watches. Their collection of watches include wood choices from around the world.
The watch I ordered arrived in a padded white box specifically sized just for a watch. Kudos for attention to the little details.
Here is a picture of the watch box.
Next came opening the box to see my prized gift. Before I get there. Let me tell you about what watch I selected. Being a huge movie buff, I head down to the local movie theater about twice a month. I can never see what time it is while in the movie. It’s not like I can pull out my phone to see what time it is, respectfully. Therefore, I selected a watch model that had a white face with black hands. In addition, I selected more of a cherry looking wood. The best part is that the timepiece is embedded right into the wood.
Then, the moment of truth.
Wow, is this watch awesome! Just had to take the watch out of the box to check it out. To my enjoyment, the watch actually really was made from real wood. Here’s a close-up of the watch face I chose.
Unfortunately, my wrists are not very big and I needed to remove some of the links. Jord recommended taking the watch to the local watch shop to get the links removed. However, I purchased two eye glass screwdrivers and removed the links myself. Three dollars was much less that taking to a watch specialist.
The watch was delivered on Friday and I did not take the watch out to the Vegas Strip until Sunday. You don’t have to believe me, but I actually received a compliment on the watch at a watch store – just proving the point of how really cool, personal and unique the watch is to wear.
It will be a true pleasure to help promote Jord to all of my followers, friends and family. I hope you do the same by promoting another U.S.A. based business.
See below of pictures of the watch on my wrist in front of the Bellagio and also at the Bellagio’s Conservatory.
